Migrating a Blog from WordPress to Statamic

This project focused on migrating an existing blog from WordPress to Statamic, a flat-file CMS, to improve site performance, flexibility, and ease of content management. The goal was to create a more efficient, streamlined, and scalable system for managing blog posts, while offering the client greater control over content updates and reducing reliance on plugins.

As part of the Lucky Media team, I contributed to the front-end development during the migration process. The blog was rebuilt using Statamic, leveraging its flexibility for content management, while ensuring the design remained responsive and user-friendly. I utilized Tailwind CSS for a modern, clean design, and incorporated Alpine.js to add interactivity and dynamic content features. The migration process also included ensuring that the blog’s structure and SEO rankings were preserved, which required collaboration with the back-end team to handle data migration and integration.

Key contributions included:
- Rebuilding the front end with a responsive, intuitive design using Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js.
- Ensuring SEO optimization during the migration process to preserve search rankings and improve page speed.
- Streamlining content management with Statamic’s flat-file approach, making the site easier to update and maintain.

Through this project, we successfully migrated the blog to Statamic, resulting in a faster, more secure, and easily manageable website. As part of the Lucky Media team, I helped ensure the migration was smooth, from maintaining the user experience to optimizing the site’s performance and functionality.
